Saturday night museum Pompeii

Every Saturday night, from July to October in the excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum, you can participate in tour routes set out by the Superintendence for Pompeii, Herculaneum and Stabia cost of 2 Euros.
First date Saturday, July 11, followed every Saturday until 17 October.

To the ruins of Pompeii, tourists can visit the exhibition “Kidnapped death. The casts – The photograph, “staged in the Amphitheatre of the archaeological area. Here the casts, starting with those of Giuseppe Fiorelli, are presented for the first time to the public after the recent restoration of the Superintendent. The visits to the exhibition will be subject to quotas for groups of 40 people.

To the ruins of Herculaneum will visit the Pavilion of the boat and with a panoramic view of the illuminated city from above, you can observe the excavation and the skeletons of the victims from

the doors of Fornici.

The visits will be subject to quotas for groups of 25 persons starting at 20.20 with departures every 20 minutes.
The rounds of visit will be as follows: 1 round: 20.20 hours; Round 2: 20.40 hours; Round 3: 21.00; Round 4: 21.20 hours; Round 5: 21.40 hours; Round 6: 22.00; Round 7: 22.20 hours; Round 8: 22.40 hours; Round 9: 23.00; Round 10: 23.20 hours.

It is strongly recommended, especially for the site of Herculaneum, to anticipate its presence at the ticket in order to meet the shifts visit. In case of high turnout, the Administration does not guarantee entry to all the participants and will observe a very strict order of arrival.

Among the goals of the initiative is not only to encourage new forms of use of the national cultural heritage, but also to meet the needs of citizens and tourists with a schedule of openings wider and flexible than usual, to allow to catch the attention of age groups and audiences who do not usually have the opportunity to access our museums in their daily schedules.
