From Ravello to Vietri
Ravello, Minori, Maiori and Vietri are some of the places of the Amalfi coast not to miss. The unforgettable panorama from the viewpoint of Villa Cimbrone, the garden of Villa Rufolo, the Dome of San Pantaleone and the Moresca Fountain are some of the pieces of the mosaic that compose the visit of Ravello. A tourist destination of élite, frequented by artists and intellectuals since the 800’s, it is animated during the year from the popular Ravello Festival. The pink houses are Minori’s landmark, an ancient place for seaside holidays. The Villa Marittima, rich in mosaics and frescoes, proofs the fact that the area was chosen for the vacations of rich patricians. Maiori and its long beaches, the touristic port and the waterfront promenade offer accomodations and
restaurants. Erchie, Unesco world heritage site, and Cetara, a fisherman’s town, are less known but worth visiting while on your way to Vietri sul Mare. Vietri is worldknown for its ceramics, a tradition that started in the Middle Ages, the golden period for many coastal towns.
